Teaching Children Community Values

This page is devoted to teaching children to how to value themselves and others.  It includes educational sites, articles and activities that promote cooperation, support and appreciation for all ways understanding and experiencing the world.  Children thrive when they feel good about themselves and like they are valued in their social circles.  Nurturing children’s curiosity, interests and well-being through creating a supportive environment for their internal and external exploration helps them reach their potential as learners and as human beings.  Fostering their compassion for others helps them recognize how interconnected we human beings are to one another, and how much we need each other to survive and thrive in this world.

Below are some links to resources to help teach children how to care for themselves and others.
